In her words
On the work.
The first time a client cried on my chair, she was in her late forties. She had lost her lip border to age — quietly, year over year, the way most of us lose it. She had wanted to use lipstick again for two decades and had stopped because there was nothing to outline.
When I finished the heal-out at six weeks, she did not look like a different person. She looked like the photograph of herself her husband had on the dresser, taken on their honeymoon. That is what I do for a living. I think that is what the best of us do for a living.
I built lipblushing.com because women in her position were calling my studio from three states away — and I had nowhere good to send them. The internet had no neutral, honest, professionally-reviewed home for this work. So we are making one.

Background
How she got here.
- 2014
- Licensed esthetician. Started training under one of the early generation of U.S. permanent cosmetics specialists.
- 2016
- Opened her own studio. Spent the next five years specialising — refusing brows, eyeliner, and every other PMU service. Only lips.
- 2020
- Began teaching workshops privately, two students at a time, in studio. Word of mouth filled every cohort.
- 2023
- Began the work that would become lipblushing.com — a directory of artists she could in good conscience recommend to her own waitlist.
- 2026
- Co-founded lipblushing.com. Continues to take clients in studio between site duties.
